Arizona Havasupai Parks Tour

There is a desert oasis hidden beneath the rim of the Grand Canyon. Havasupai is nestled in a deep channel of the canyon, hidden from all but those that find their way here. Natural spring waters have created stunning waterfalls and pools lined with giant cottonwood trees. You’ll be in awe that hidden treasures like this still exist.

What’s Included

We build our itineraries as all inclusive. Unless arranged otherwise, the prices quoted include all activities, transportation, lodging, meals, trail snacks & drinks, day packs and other equipment needed for special excursions.

DAY 1: DEPART FROM LAS VEGAS

Drive from Las Vegas to Hualapai Hilltop: 4 hours Hiking Mileage: 10 miles Elevation Loss: 2,400 feet

We will depart from Las Vegas at 6am and arrive at the trail head by 10am. Our adventure begins at Hualapai Hilltop. We hike downhill steeply through a series of switchbacks before leveling off in a beautiful red sandstone canyon. After 4.5 miles, this canyon intersects with Cataract Canyon and Havasu Creek, whose turquoise waters are both enchanting and inviting. We hike along this creek for 2 miles to the village of Supai before hiking on another 2 miles to the campground. On our approach to the campground, we pass three of the five major waterfalls: Rock Falls, Fifty Foot Falls, and Havasu Falls. The rest of the day is available for enjoying all of these Falls while we set camp.

DAY 2: HAVASU & MOONEY FALLS

Hiking Mileage: 7 miles (optional day hiking) Elevation Change: 500 feet

We spend day 2 hiking and exploring the stunning waterfalls that make Havasu a world-renown destination. We’ll hike downstream to the stunning Mooney Falls, which cascades 200 feet to a pool below. We’ll then continue hiking downstream another 2.5 miles to Beaver Falls, where the canyon becomes increasingly dramatic with small waterfalls cascading under ash and cottonwood trees. Big horn sheep are often an added bonus, as this area provides them with rare, valuable grazing habitat. You’ll enjoy a full day of swimming, cliff jumping and enjoying this desert oasis.

DAY 3: ROCK FALLS & FIFTY FOOT FALLS

Hiking Mileage: 5+ miles (optional day hiking) Elevation Change: 300 feet

After sleeping in and enjoying a great breakfast we’ll have the rest of the day to hike and explore Rock Falls and Fifty Foot Falls, which are less-visited but equally as stunning as Havasu and Mooney Falls, and make for unforgettable swimming and photography. We’ll be back in camp mid-afternoon to eat, relax and prepare for the next day’s hike out.
